Wedding and quinceañera lessons
A first dance, a wedding party or a court.
A group waltz class meets on Friday for wedding parties and quinceañera courts, and private lessons for the first dance are planned around your event and your song. We teach in English and in Spanish, and families are welcome to come along.

What a class is like
- 01
Step 1: Pick the song
You tell us the song and who will dance; we choose steps that suit them.
- 02
Step 2: Learn the steps
Private lessons for the couple, and a group class for the party or the court.
- 03
Step 3: Put it together
The steps become a short dance that fits the music and the room.
- 04
Step 4: Practice at home
We send a plan to practice between lessons.
- 05
Step 5: Dance it
A last run-through on our floor before the day.
What to wear and bring
Wear what you will dance in, or something close to it: the shoes matter more than the outfit. Bring the song on your phone.
Your shoes
The shoes you will dance in, if you have chosen them.
The song
On your phone, so we can hear it together.
The people who will dance
The couple, the party or the court, as many as can come.
Level and your teacher
Where you start
Each dance has its own path, so you begin with the dance you choose and move on when your teacher says. See the dances page for the steps in each.
The dancesFlorencia Razo
Florencia coaches wedding parties and quinceañera courts. Basilio teaches the waltz that many first dances begin with. Both teach in English and in Spanish.
