What happens at a first class
A first class is one hour. Nothing to prepare, and no partner needed.

Step 1: Pick a class
Choose any class on the schedule for your age. Beginners usually start with the waltz or the rumba.

Step 2: Arrive early
Come ten minutes before it starts. A teacher meets you at the door and shows you where to leave your shoes.

Step 3: Dance
You learn a basic step and dance it with a new partner every few minutes.

Step 4: Decide in your own time
Ask about a membership, a class card or lessons for a wedding. There is no pressure to sign up on the spot.
